To join the retreat, you'll need: Yes

• a computer with webcam
• the Zoom App (download and install here) - this will enable us to see each other on-screen during this retreat. 
• headphones, ideally with microphone (if you are joining a Dharma sharing group).

We recommend you “bookmark” this Cultivating True Love in the Presence of Suffering retreat homepage in your web browser, so you can easily return to it.

Testing your connection and preparing the Zoom sessions

On Wednesday, June 23rd at 4 pm EST there will be a test session available for you to connect to. This way you can be sure that you can connect and will be able to follow the retreat without worrying about technology.

When you enter a Zoom session, the app asks if you want to join the meeting with or without your video...

If you wish, or in the case that internet speed is insufficient or irregular, you can join the other Zoom sessions / meetings without your video on. Zoom will then display the registered name on a black background.

You can replace this black background with a photo of yourself. To do that :

• Go to your Zoom account online - https://us04web.zoom.us/profile?from=client
• In your Profile (PERSONAL) - Add / modify the photo representing you.

Joining the live sessions

All the sessions will be streamed on Zoom, and the links to the sessions will be available in the retreat schedule in PDF format. Please check your email inbox for the important announcements.

Each retreat session will open at its designated time and will be streamed live. If our bandwidth supports it, we will also try to stream the event live and unlisted on our YouTube channel, for retreatants only to follow. In the case that we are unable to stream as well on YouTube, we will upload high-resolution videos of each session after it is completed. All the talks and teachings will be available for you to watch, here on this site, for the next 3 months.

Dharma sharing

Dharma sharing uses a different Zoom session than the rest of the retreat. The link to your Dharma sharing group will also be included in the email announcement you receive on Tuesday, June 22nd.
